Diving is the sport of jumping or falling into water from a platform or springboard, while performing acrobatics. Diving is an internationally recognized sport that is part of the Olympic Games. Competitors possess many of the same characteristics as gymnasts and dancers, including strength, flexibility, kinaesthetic judgment and air awareness. Hertfordshire has an active Diving Community who compete in County, Regional, National and International events, the diving clubs cater for a wide range of ages and abilities from youngsters to Masters and from beginner to international level. Dacorum Diving Club is a voluntary run sports club for adults and children from the age of 8 years. We teach and encourage the competitive sport of Springboard and Platform Diving, from Novice to National Competition Level.
